History

OUR HISTORY

From a small two-man business
to an internationally leading manufacturer of digital printing inks.

Our old production

Our history – already spanning over three decades

Tritron was established in 1991 by Jens Simon and Harald Specht while working at the University of Marburg in Battenberg-Dodenau. What started out as a small two-man business producing inks and thinners for continuous inkjet printers has evolved into a leading manufacturer of digital printing inks and ink-related materials for non-impact printing processes.

Today, Tritron GmbH – not to mention its sales company Tritron USA, Inc. in the USA – has grown into an internationally successful company. Despite this, the company, based in northern Hesse, still has very close ties to the Eder Uplands region.
